September 2005
| 9/1 Thursday Funny thing. I was flipping through the channels this evening and found an asian network showing weird short movies and one was called “Post Nuclear Family”. It was about a family coping with life after the US is attacked by outside forces and they are living off of rations. It was good. Makes me realize I do need to have extra supplies in the house. Heh. Quote of the day “watch out for the spiders, I’ll protect
you, with my dick!” |
| 9/2 Friday Friday night at the MN State Fair- Well first Id like to say it was a first for me since a teenager to spend a friday night at a fair. And it was a first for Melanie too since she was a kid. We ate ourselves through the food area, laughed our way through the fine arts show, and almost puked our way through the midway. My feet fucking ACHE! Took some fun pics too.
|
| 9/3 Saturday The movie 40 year old virgin made a good point. Sometimes women really appreciate when you “put the pussy on a pedestal.” I know I do not appreciate being called a bitch or ho, Id rather be worshipped. The black guy in the supermarket acted offended when I moved my cart away from him out of kindness. He said something like “Oh don’t worry, I'm not gonna steal your stuff.” I said “I don’t care, I haven’t paid for it yet.” Always so quick to scream racism, aren’t we? |
| 9/4 Sunday A relaxing day scraping and cleaning the deck. Ha. Smell the sarcasm. Listening to the MPR |
| 9/5 Monday People seriously need to learn to take responsibility for themselves
and their actions |
| 9/7 Wednesday A large explosion in my neighborhood left the sky disrupted by a large black mushroom cloud, and I knew instantly what direction it had come from. The Hamms/Strohs brewery’s oldest building caught fire, probably arsen because of the large explosion in the abandoned part of the complex. All I could do was watch the live helicopter footage on TV, luckily it happended for the 6oclock news. Unfortunately the cops instantly closed off the streets and I had to take a quick lame picture from a bridge. PIC It reminds me how easily society forgets about history. The Hamms brewery is a historical landmark in St Pauls East Side. I am not even from here and I know that. Its history is riddled with prosperity, scandal, even kidnapping, and ultimately the arsen of Grandfather Hamm’s mansion…. And now, to watch a part of the brewery burn. I knew it would not spread to the entire complex, but it was the oldest building, the one building I had never gotten into… A piece of history destroyed through maliciousness. Why? Because people steal the copper piping because they are drugged out homeless assholes who would rather steal than work. I hate people.
|
| 9/8 Thursday I gave into my addiction today and bought a new xbox live game, Rainbow
Six Lockdown…. My hand hurts when I play so at least I wont be
a heavy user. *geeky snickers* |
| 9/9 Friday I’ve been sooo run down lately… NO energy. And I’m always sick to my stomach. I barely can eat sometimes for days… seems like its been weeks now… Don’t know what is wrong… World becoming too heavy for me? The breathe of life some days feels so heavy. I need to play more video games and kill people to cheer myself up.
Unfortunately the new game is littered with bugs and laggy. I give up.
No more online shit for me. |
| 9/10 Saturday Went to Triple Rock to see an interesting show. The Mattoids, a burlesque show, and the headliner, Comedian Doug Stanhope. It was very very strange. Even Doug was weirded out by it. He wasn’t used to the standing crowd of a punk bar. I still don’t know why he did this show, but he said he wanted to do something different. Seems like Doug is in a very weird place now. Man, he is so fucking cool….. Too bad I don’t drink enough to ever think I could hold a conversation with him. Listening to the radio show ROOT OF ALL EVIL |
| 9/11 Sunday 4 years since 9-11 and we are even more helpless against catastrophes or any disaster. Ever get the feeling the government and politicians are running amok with OUR money? All the prayers in the world won’t help us while our top politicians are stealing government money with their special interest groups and deep pockets, and nominating their buds to offices they think are bullshit, like FEMA. I am constantly amazed at the idiots up top, and the ignorant here in the middle class world…. Ugh. Where is the outrage? Oh yeh, Im getting used to getting no answer. Listening to Megadeth. |
| 9/12 Monday First day 'officially' working alone. It went well. Quiet, except for me blasting XM radio [SQUIZZ]. But then again I kinda already got used to working alone. Just makes me a weird hermit though. Feels like I don’t get to interact with people. Sometimes I hope someone will just come up and talk to me when I'm at work. I see them staring at the van, but they are too afraid to ask me about it….Then I ended up coming home and being a blabbermouth to friends… F A R G O was on IFC. I haven’t seen that movie in sooo long!!! The best part was seeing it now that I have lived in the Twin Cities for awhile. Oh man, the characters reminded me of people I have met here. They are characters here alright! Though the accent was exaggerated. But the people are kinda funny that way. And notice how bad the roads are, heheheheh , the harsh winter destroys the roads here…. Oh man, I know its sick, but I love the cold white desolate winters here. Really teaches you about survival. Our basement has a big storage food pantry for a reason!!!!! I don’t know but I find the winters romantic. Snuggling closely with someone you love, enjoying the strange white nightly glow from the snow…. Listening to The Faint. |
| 9/13 Tuesday EXCERPT FROM A POST I MADE ON A FRIENDS FORUM… JUST KIND OF LIKED IT. Eyes are the most alluring and mysterious part of one’s body, of corpse we are so intrigued by and drawn to them. They possess the proverbial entranceway to the soul, the mind, and the spirit. They are so wondrous, so complex, and awe inspiring to stare deep into. Yet we feel like they can reveal things about a person. I always know my best friends because we stare at each others eyes in deep conversations, and there’s that connection. Like the mind connection through sight, that deep connection and feeling of knowing someone… Vision is such an amazing and tricky thing. With the advances of the internet [I’ve been on it in one form or another since the beginning when it was just newsgroups and rich people with websites] some of us have learned to make a connection straight to someone’s mind through the written word, sometimes moving on to the spoken word. It’s weird, there’s still an important connection but how does it compare to staring into someone’s eyes…. that’s when you know… Because ultimately words are deceptive and opiniated, eyes are the direct portal to the mind… I have conversations with my boyfriend without even speaking. It’s like we don’t have to talk sometimes because we know what each other are saying just through the eyes expressions. Pure emotion through expression. That’s when I know that person knows me better than myself… I don’t think I answered the main question, but I loved my tangent ? Listening to Metallica ‘Master of Puppets’ |
| 9/14 Wednesday Hands ache, don’t feel like typing. |
| 9/15 Friday Went to see Bobcat Golthwait at Treasure Island. It’s a small casino in the middle of nowhere Minnesota, neither near an island, or the climate that is home to toucans like in the ads. The slogan though seemed fitting though, your luck is better here. We must have hit a lucky row while killing time, by the end of the night I had won 150$. I paid for the show, dinner, and had extra money. It defied my normal rule of trying to make 20$ last the night. Listening to Clutch '10001110101' |
| 9/16 Saturday Went to a friends house warming in the middle of freaking nowhere.
Stupid development of suburbs in the middle of nowhere farm country.
I CANNOT see why someone would move to such a whitewashed boring part
of time. Give me the city any day. I want to be near the action. I see
as many artshows, music shows, movies, and other arts as much as possible.
Im SURE AS HELL not going to drive an hour into to town to do those
things. What boring people. Even the house was all white walls and that
new plain feeling. I don’t understand those people. |
| 9/17 Sunday Vegged all day. Played video games and bummed around most of the day… I seriously need some inspiration…….. |
| 9/18 Monday Discovered AIR AMERICA on XM radio. I was getting sick of the music stations. Im kinda sick of everything right now. But holy fuck Im addicted to AA. Even the Jerry Springer show. Hes
an amazing down to Earth man. Ive also discovered the joy of listening
to Randi Rhodes’ dark sense of humor. She cracks me up with her
extremist comments on common sense topics. It’s the left Dr Laura.
LOL! |
| 9/19 Tuesday I love Randi Rhodes’ extreme leftist talking points. Makes ya
wonder though. What the fuck is happenning? |
| 9/20 Wednesday I have noticed lately I have not seen many W stickers on cars. HA!
THAT’S the first sign of public disapproval. Have seen many many
more Impeach Bush stickers. |
| 9/22 Thursday What an absolutely shitty day! Nothing went right from the moment I
awoke…. Now need to exert some creative energy so I am updating
the site. |
| 9/23 Friday Ugh. ANOTHER FUCKIN SHITTY DAY! Even the System of a down show couldn’t
cheer me up. |
| 9/24 Saturday Nursing the bruises on my back. Relaxing. Friends showed up late at
night and we played poker. Nick the noob won. Ha. Gotta love that fuck
it attitude, sometimes you win with it if you’re lucky! |
| 9/25 Sunday Well, I hate to admit it, but I ended up at MOA with Melanie again. Spent too much money, but got some cool stuff. The real reason I went was that I was dragged there, but Mel will be dressed to kill when she goes to London. Lucky lady. I wonder if she will actually come back. Went to Mickeys to eat and even Melanie has noticed that as freaky
as some of us supposedly are, here in Saint Paul it's no big deal. I
told Mel that's why I instantly loved it here, people are so accepting.
Not like the South. I cannot recall how many exact times I got called
a derogatory name. |
| 9/26 Monday Work is draining my creativity. I drive around all day taking mast
shots of strip malls all day. The pictures are amazing; don’t
get me wrong, but its tapping that visual photographic creative flow
I normally have. Maybe it’s good to take a break. I need to do
more portraits. Been accumulating supplies. |
| 9/27 Tuesday El Presidente Bush today announces with a painful look in his eye, that Amerikkkans should conserve fuel. THIS coming from the man who when he instantly got into office, slashed mandates to make SUVS more fuel efficient, and funded alternative fuels. So is anyone really surprised that the Lord of the Oil now says to conserve oil, like good conservationists? I’m sorry Georgie, its way too little allot to fucking late. Idiot. Came up with another song, goddamned I love my keyboard. But now my
hands ache more because I’m practicing more…I can’t
complain though. At least I’m being creative in one form or another. |
| 9/28 Wednesday While listening to Air America today I was remembering the time I met Jerry Springer in Boston. Its kind of funny the way we forget things into the fog of our memory, until the right stimulation resurrects that memory…. Jerry seemed like a very nice, gentle man, and was willing to work with our photo shoot requests. It was simple, look surprised while talking on the cell phone, you have just been told you are having a lovechild…. It was not real acting, but it was funny and he complied…. And he even seemed gracious in the end, even though we were just exploiting him… I guess hes used to that. |
| 9/29 Thursday The Arcade Fire at First Avenue. I don’t know what I expected, even after a good friend told me I would have a blast. The place was packed with quite a hipster crowd, and I thought I would not have fun. Once they took the stage though, I was blown away. 8+ members on stage gave such a great performance. Such power! Such presence. Some songs I had to wipe a tear away, because it was amazing seeing them live. I left being very impressed, and wishing to see them again. No wonder so many people came in from out of town to see them. I heard many stories of people following them on tour. Seemed like a nice following. Side note- Wish I could apologize to the girl in front of me. It was instinct to knock you down after you accidentally hit me in the face. Unfortunately it was a knee-jerk reaction to hit you. And well, sometimes I forget my strength. Its not like Im strong, but Im no match for a 90 pound drunk girl. I honestly felt bad after you ran away in fear. It was kind of amusing, but I did feel a wee bit bad. |
| 9/30 Friday Went to see MN Rollergirls at their new venue at Roy Wilkins Auditorium. Good to see them at a larger venue, they are the only league in the nation to be in a real sports arena. You go grrrls. We had a fun time, though the sport is not set up to really get to see all the action. But the boys seemed to enjoy all the hot rollergirls falling down, showing their panties. I can see why its so appealing. And a special shout out to Syanara Pussy, damn so beautiful, and so talented. Id call her a brute, but shes too damn cute to be known as a brute, just a bully I guess. Also gotta send props out to Little Arson Annie number #500ft. Another big beautiful brute. Guess I have a thing for pivoters. |
