Went out to dinner and hung with some friends who live out in the suburbs. I wish they didn't live so far away or I'd hang more. |

Started the day out with at Mystic Lake Casino buffet with friends. It is $15 and there is no way you can eat that much food in the morning. Its so hard to choose what to eat, but otherwise it was damn good. Theres something about making my own salad that I love, I guess that stems from working at Shoney’s as a waitress and loving the salad bar there. I finally broke down and bought a cell phone. I was holding out as long as I possibly could but I needed one for my new job. I hate to join the cell phone generation, because I totally despise most cell phone users. You know the ones I’m talking about, they are walking around the grocery store, phone attached to their ear and chatting away. Oh gawd, please don’t let me become one of them. Please! It was nice to finally spend some money after 3 months of unemployment. Went to the collectible shop and bought some Invader Zim action figures and other stupid little ones as jokes/gifts for friends. It’s the reason I cant go there regularly, because I always find good stuff there.

Am I so domineering that I bought my boyfriend a pay as you go cell phone? Yep. I justified it because of the new job’s hours will be so wacky, I don’t want him to feel he needs to wait around for me to get off of work before he goes out without me. It just sounds so funny to say I bought him one. But I knew he wouldn’t buy one himself, because he hates em as much as I do. First Id like to bitch a little about the way things are packaged these days, you know, the unyielding plastic container most things come in. You feel like a criminal breaking into it even after you pay for it and get it home. Why do they make the packaging so fucking hard to open? Once I bought a 30 dollar LAN cable and actually cut it with the knife while trying to get into the damn packaging. What a pain in the ass. And what happens when you have to return the item? The packaging it comes in always gets severely damaged just in the opening process. And remember when people used to complain about how many trees were cut down to make boxes or paper, but how much oil is spent in making plastic packaging for EVERY item? And I think cardboard is more biodegradable than plastic. What a waste. So, the only problem with pay as you wireless, that boasts of no yearly contract. Once you open the package on the inside it says you need to add $20 every 3 months or the phone will stop receiving calls. Doesn’t that sounds like an obligation or a contract? |
